Born and raised in Washington, DC, Zaman graduated with a first class Master of Physics (MPhys) from Corpus Christi College, Oxford. At university, she edited a student newspaper, mentoring new writers and fostering their critical thinking and self expression. In the two years following her degree, she moved back to the US to undertake a post-baccalaureate program encompassing Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry courses while continuing to collaborate on research with her former Oxford professors. She is now pursuing an MSc in Machine Learning at University College, London.
Having completed a bilingual IB Diploma in English and Spanish at the Washington International School and applied successfully to US universities, Zaman has extensive personal experience with the American education and college application system. When she was in high school, she began tutoring students in IB and AP physics, maths, and chemistry; she has since also provided guidance on university admissions essays and tutored at the undergraduate level. She enjoys working with students individually to find the teaching and study methods that best suit them, as well as foster their curiosity and enjoyment of learning.
In her free time, Zaman enjoys playing cello and football, as well as cooking.
