Tips to Master the ACT Science Section

Wednesday, September 15

10am PDT / 6pm BST

The ACT Science section might seem off-putting for students who haven't studied science in a while. But what scientific facts do you actually need to know to succeed on the ACT? Academic mentors Andra Necula and Brena Adams will give a crash course on the scientific knowledge needed for the ACT, from calculating the concentration of a solution to identifying an allele for a recessive trait in a pedigree.

The session will teach you how to identify outside knowledge questions, what facts and formulas are most likely to show up, and--of course--how to make an educated guess if stuck. The session is suited for all students who are studying for the ACT (including those who are working with a mentor), for anybody who is thinking of switching to the ACT but is being put off by science, and for those of you who are only starting to think about test prep.

Join us to nerd out about Science and gain some useful insights into the ACT.
