
Adam is an Essay Coach at ESM Prep. A Vassar alum, he graduated with a B.A. in Media Studies with a focus in Creative Writing. Since graduating, Adam has worked across many different fields in education, cultivating his instructional skills and fostering a love for working with students and writing. He began his career in education working at Reading Partners, a non-profit aimed at helping boost students' reading scores and instilling a lifelong love of reading in them. Pivoting into the classroom, Adam currently teaches 7th grade History and English, where he focuses on strengthening students' reading comprehension and writing skills. Before working in a middle school setting, Adam worked as a long-term substitute in several high schools, where he gained hands-on experience working with high schoolers, giving him valuable insight into how to help students as they enter the next chapter in their educational journey.
As an Essay Coach, Adam values building strong relationships with his students and helping craft individual narratives that make their writing stand out. Adam enjoys the process of getting to know his students and their interests, dreams, and ambitions. He wants to help students find their voice and to always lead with confidence. In his free time, Adam enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and writing, and spending time at the beach or anywhere in nature.
