Leonardo da Vinci
Sam Kara makes his home in Modesto, in California’s Central Valley. Interested in physics and astronomy from a young age, he homeschooled until high school where he earned the International Baccalaureate diploma at Modesto High School, graduating first in his class.
Since earning his Bachelor’s degree from Stanislaus State in 2021, Sam has focused on teaching STEM subjects to the next generation. During his time at ESM, Sam has worked with students for hundreds of hours, mentoring them in math, physics, chemistry and computer science. He has a knack for making complex concepts easy to understand by breaking them down into simpler chunks and greatly enjoys helping students build confidence and succeed in their goals. Sam believes that any student can succeed in STEM subjects with the right guidance and a positive mindset.
In his free time, Sam enjoys rock climbing, playing the piano, and playing video games. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, and his dog, a playful standard poodle, named Lolo.
