Vikram grew up in Cupertino, California, where he graduated from Monta Vista High School. He went on to graduate from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. At UCI, he worked as a Teaching Assistant for a Data Structures course, which first kindled his passion for teaching. Since then, he has spent 10 years tutoring students of all ages, from K–12 through college.

Vikram strives to create a space where students feel comfortable experimenting, asking questions, and making big-picture plans for their academic future and personal development. When teaching, he aims to provide multiple ways of approaching a problem, adapting his style of instruction for each student. Vikram also likes to draw back the curtain and explain the “why” behind difficult concepts. He believes that doing so helps students develop confidence and independence, enabling them to approach new and unfamiliar problems. By connecting smaller details to larger ideas, he hopes to make the process of learning more intuitive and exciting.

Vikram provides academic support in math and computer science, as well as test preparation for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT. When he is not teaching, Vikram enjoys reading, birdwatching, and going to the opera.
