Anne Hsia has over a decade of mentoring and teaching experience, guiding hundreds of students over thousands of hours in the SAT/ACT GRE/GMAT; all levels of math, physics, chemistry, engineering, and economics; and executive functioning skills. Her mentorship centers around seeing the student as a whole person and supporting them in becoming the best version of themselves.

The organization and time-management skills she developed triple majoring in Electrical Engineering, Math, and Piano Performance–graduating summa cum laude in four years–at Santa Clara University ignited her passion for teaching students how to prioritize and organize their work to take ownership of their educational journeys. Anne uses everyday analogies to break down complex concepts, guides students through problems, and then utilizes role reversal so students solidify their understanding of concepts and processes. She also asks intentional questions along the way, establishing a structured problem-solving framework while allowing room for creativity in the process. With care, patience, and empathy, she guides students toward excellence, inspires confidence, and builds competence. She believes that each student brings a unique perspective and is constantly learning from them. At the end of each session, she spends time reflecting on the session with her students, celebrating the progress, learning from the mistakes, and looking ahead.

When Anne is not mentoring students, she can be found in the kitchen baking a new dessert or planning her next international trip. She also enjoys playing pickup ultimate frisbee, going to the beach, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
