College Counseling
Nikki Giovanni
After growing up in the Bay Area, Rebecca graduated from University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Communications with a minor in Marketing from the Wharton School of Business. She has over twenty years of experience working in education with many students and families at Bay Area public and private schools.
Most recently, Rebecca worked at Branson School where she served as the Director of Alumni Relations and a student advisor. It was her work with both students and young alumni that helped her to discover her passion for working with young adults as they navigated such processes as college applications, declaration of a major, summer internships, and job placement after graduation. Because of this work, she was inspired to go back to school to obtain a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. During her tenure at Branson, she also served as a trustee for Next Generation Scholars, a non profit organization that equips and empowers first generation, under-resourced Marin County middle and high school students to succeed in college and beyond through socially-conscious leadership development.
As a mom of three, Rebecca is personally aware of how the right school allows your child to thrive and that one size does not fit all when it comes to education. She recently guided her oldest son through the college admissions process and he is excited to start his first year at UCLA. Her two daughters are still in high school and enjoy playing any sport possible, contemporary dance, and working in town.
Outside of work, Rebecca loves to hang out with her daughters and husband (who she met in high school!), open water swim with the local masters program, and explore the incredible Bay Area trail system with her dog, Sadie.
