An American in London, and Stanford and Columbia alumna, Querida was raised and attended school in northern Virginia. She graduated with a diploma from the International Baccalaureate Programme and later earned her Bachelor's in History with a minor in Creative Writing from Stanford University. For her master's degree, Querida was awarded a full tuition scholarship to Columbia University's School of Social Work, earning her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) with a focus on Policy Practice. Highlights of Querida's career have included mentoring students in leadership at Phillips Exeter Academy and co-teaching a course in public service career education at Stanford University. While at Stanford, Querida also successfully coached students through the national competitive Truman Scholarship process.
Querida is a lifelong learner with a particular passion for history, literature, economics, biology, psychology, and government studies. With Guidewell, she specializes in supporting students with ACT/SAT prep and essay coaching. Her approach to mentorship is rooted in the importance of human relationships. Querida brings a collaborative style to mentorship, aiming to ensure that students feel supported to grow and achieve their goals. Previously, she provided guidance, insight, and emotional support to high school students exploring their college pathways. Querida also has experience in career education, teaching large and small groups of Stanford undergraduates in a university course where she provided accessible explanations for concepts and coached students through assignments like informational interviews.
When she's not working, you can find Querida practicing yoga, enjoying a good book, maintaining her Duolingo streak in Spanish, Italian, or Irish, or baking something delicious.
