For more than a decade, Josh Davis has been the trusted guide for hundreds of students and families aiming for the world’s most selective universities. Many of his students have earned admission to Ivy League institutions and other top-tier schools, but Josh measures success by more than just acceptance letters—he’s committed to helping each student discover their passions, define their goals, and present their most authentic and compelling self to admissions committees.
Since founding ESM Prep in the UK in 2015, Josh has worked with students across the U.S. and around the globe. He specializes in navigating the nuances of selective admissions—whether it’s building a four-year academic and extracurricular plan, helping a student uncover a standout essay topic, or preparing them for high-stakes interviews. Families turn to Josh for his strategic insight, personalized guidance, and unwavering belief in each student’s potential.
Josh’s deep understanding of admissions is rooted in his own journey at Yale University, where he studied History, served as a Student Recruitment Coordinator in the Admissions Office, and played four years of varsity basketball. His experience as both a student-athlete and mentor makes him especially skilled at guiding students pursuing athletic recruitment.
Now based between Miami and London, Josh works closely with students in-person and virtually, ensuring they have the tools, confidence, and strategy to stand out in the most competitive applicant pools. When he’s not working with students, he’s focused on his favorite team—his two young sons.
