College Counseling

Joe is a founding partner of ESM Prep and served as the Director of Operations of Launch Academy starting in 2014. He helped develop the summer program's curriculum to give high school students a head start in the college application process and achieve their life goals.

After graduating from UC Davis Joe began his career at St. Michael’s Episcopal Day School in Carmichael teaching middle school English, math, Latin, and social studies. A student-athlete at Jesuit High School and an avid amateur athlete ever since, Joe subsequently had a two-decade career in journalism, communication, and commercial media production.

His career first took him around the country as a newspaper photojournalist and editor, and then as a visual communications leader, guiding creative initiatives and teams at companies ranging from start-ups to billion-dollar brands. While he works with students of all stripes, those wishing to continue their athletic pursuits in college and those interested in media and communications-related educational and career fields are his specialty.

Joe is passionate about guiding students along a path of self-discovery so that they can understand what makes them "tick," helping them make important decisions about their future based on their personal passions and interests.
