Ellen Lueck brings over a decade of expertise in education consulting to the ESM Client Services team. She originally joined Metro Academic Prep (MAP) in 2016 as a specialist in college essay research and quickly was promoted to oversee the success of all test prep and tutoring programs within MAP. Since MAP merged with ESM in 2024, Ellen has supported hundreds of families through all aspects of their educational journey, whether it be setting up academic tutoring for elementary school students, helping parents understand the minutiae of the SAT and ACT, and developing the best-fit test prep plan for graduate school admissions.

Before transitioning into education consulting, Ellen built a strong foundation in academia, admissions, and teaching. She taught musicology and writing, and led instrumental ensembles at the University of Connecticut, Wesleyan University, Yale University, and Queens College. She also served in the graduate admissions office of a local art conservatory, where she guided hundreds of students toward their academic and career goals. She even had a stint as a top-rated virtual writing tutor.

Outside of her work with families at ESM, Ellen enjoys singing niche Americana, performing in her local Balinese percussion orchestra, and sewing for her family.
