Academic Mentorship
Test Prep

Hello, I'm Caroline, a University of Miami student currently preparing for the LSAT. My tutoring career began during my undergraduate years in San Diego, where I specialized in ACT and SAT preparation before broadening my instruction to span foundational math and phonics through Honors Geometry and AP Chemistry. I also served as a reading interventionist in underserved Kansas City schools, helping young readers build confidence and core literacy skills. Teaching across such a wide range of ages and abilities has sharpened my ability to identify exactly where a student is and what they need to move forward.
My philosophy is that every student can excel when they feel understood and supported. I begin by learning how each student thinks and learns best, then tailor our work to their individual style and build upon their strengths. Because high-stakes exams can feel overwhelming and cause students to freeze, I translate large goals into a clear, structured roadmap: we set milestones together, divide the material into manageable components, and follow a step-by-step plan toward the target score. I also teach students to organize their materials cohesively, so that preparation feels purposeful rather than daunting. Positive reinforcement is central to my approach, and I celebrate every milestone along the way, since confidence is one of the strongest drivers of performance. Preparing for a major standardized exam myself, I understand the pressure it brings, and I strive to make the process seamless and even enjoyable, a stimulating challenge rather than an insurmountable obstacle. Above all, I emphasize how to study, not only what to study, so students leave with skills and habits that serve them well beyond the ACT or SAT.
Outside of the classroom, you will often find me studying for the LSAT or FaceTiming my family to say hello to my dog. Working with students has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I'd love the opportunity to help your student achieve their academic goals and aspirations.
