Ray's career as an academic mentor began in 2011 at the Community Youth Center in Concord, CA. With over 1900 members, the youth center provided Ray with the opportunity to work with students from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, and learning styles. His role as a tutor at the youth center eventually expanded into a program coordinator for  Camp F.U.N, a summer camp run in conjunction with UCSF to help promote healthier lifestyles in children and their families.

As a former student athlete, Ray understands the challenges that come with balancing school and extracurricular activities. This experience, combined with over 10 years of experience as a tutor in math, science, and the ACT/SAT, Ray aims to work with students to build their confidence and foster a love for learning. His dedication to their success not only helps them excel academically but also equips them with essential life skills that extend beyond the classroom.
