Payton grew up in Sacramento, California and attended St. Francis High School before moving to Fort Worth, Texas in the fall of 2013 to attend her dream school, Texas Christian University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development, minoring in Education.

She is hoping to connect with other ESM Alumni who may be living near her or are involved in education and working with children. As an ESM Prep team member, she’s played a vital role in the creation of the ESM Alumni program along with building out her own personal network of exceptional mentors and students in the process.

Payton is looking to continue to grow professionally and personally within her current role at ESM Prep. She is interested in volunteering with children in an educational setting and networking with those with similar professional goals who may have insight into the fields of Child Development or Education.

Payton now lives in Greenville, South Carolina and is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. Staying physically active is very important to her and she was instrumental in her team finishing first in the most recent ESM Prep fitness challenge. Her other interests include exploring the world through travel, cooking, helping others and spending time with her beloved dog.

Payton will be the first to tell you to never give up on your dreams. She truly believes that anything is possible through hard work, determination, and a positive outlook. Most importantly, she wants to remind students to “Be an advocate for yourself and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t, because you can!”
