Payton grew up in Sacramento, CA and attended St. Francis High School. She then packed her bags and moved to Fort Worth, Texas in the fall of 2013 to attend her dream school, Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development, minoring in Education. Payton has always had a passion for working with students and watching them succeed. While at TCU, she participated in a middle school mentorship program where she really uncovered the power of thoughtful mentorship. Payton also completed a student teaching practicum and gained an in-depth understanding of how students of all ages learn, grow, interact, and succeed. Aside from her studies, Payton also enjoyed going to football games, exploring Texas, and participating in community service. She focused her time on working with children at Kinder Frogs School and volunteering in several events benefiting the Alzheimer's association.

As a former student of ESM, Payton understands the importance of college prep, hard work and determination. She will be the first to tell you  to never give up on your dreams and anything is possible with a positive mindset!

Outside of ESM, You can find Payton being active, playing with her dog, spending time with friends and family, whipping up something new in the kitchen, or planning her next adventure.
